Dawson Trail Infrastructure

The Manitoba government recognizes the importance of infrastructure and transportation to the people living and working in the Dawson Trail constituency.

Manitoba Infrastructure & Transportation

  • Budget 2012 continued our historic levels of investment in Manitoba’s infrastructure with $589 million for roads and bridges.

  • We will continue to repair the significant damage caused by the 2011 flood, which left more than 80 bridges in need of repair or replacement.

  • We are moving forward with year six of our ten-year Highway Renewal Plan by restoring more than 2,400 kilometres of road this year.

  • With this investment, we will have revitalized more than 9,500 kilometres of highway since 2007.

Our Record in Dawson Trail

  • From 2007 to 2010, over $100 million has been invested in Dawson Trail infrastructure projects including $2.5 million for the Ste. Anne Diversion Structure in 2009/10.

  • In 2011, we completed the Pierre Delorme Bridge in St. Adolphe.

  • In 2012, we completed paving on PR 210 between Ste. Anne and Landmark as well as PR 207 from Highway 1 to PR 206.

  • We continue to work on Highway 1 between Winnipeg and Highway 12 with more projects planned for the future.
